Sri Lankan

Black Teas

A black, high-mountain tea from the Labookelie gardens in the Nurawa Eliya region. A frolicsome tea, dark but not overbearing, that evokes the sweep of the gardens that spread out under the peaks of the Samanalakande Mountains, “the mountains where butterflies go to die.” This Ceylon tea is full bodied and reminiscent of Assam tea, but a bit lighter than our Ceylon Tiger River. Pairs well with milk and sugar.

An excellent, fully aromatic tea known as low-mountain tea from the Kandy region of the captivating island of Sri Lanka. It produces a rich infusion in the cup, reminiscent of Assam tea, with a slightly sweet aftertaste. Pairs well with milk and sugar.
